Eileen Stantz, 92, Arnold, Missouri and formerly of Oblong, Illinois passed away at 11:03 A.M. Monday, March 28, 2011 at her residence. Born in Porterville, Illinois on May 23, 1918, she was the daughter of Carl Burner and Devannah (Morris) Burner. Eileen graduated from Robinson High School – Class of 1936. She was a receptionist for Dr. Brooks in Robinson, Illinois for many years. She was a member of the Crestwood Christian Church, Sunset Hills, Missouri and was a former member of the Oblong First Christian Church; she was also a 50 year member of the Katherine Chapter #639 OES, Robinson, Illinois. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, tatting, sewing and she was an avid QVC shopper.
On June 4, 1938, she married Charles Lee Stantz in theRobinson Post Office in Robinson, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1994. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Twila (Burner) Burris and Verdi (Burner) Mitchell.
Eileen is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn & Jack Doty; one granddaughter, Karla Kay Shryock McKeirnan & Joseph Thomas Patrick McKeirnan; and two great-granddaughters, Kaitlin Lee McKeirnan and Kendal Kay McKeirnan.
Bro. Dee Wolfe will officiate the funeral service with burial in the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, Illinois.
